An example of this is the recent completion of a major milestone by the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Sales Engineering team in Stuttgart, Germany. In cooperation with material specialists from Daimler, the entire portfolio of core elastomer materials was released by the Daimler’s material laboratory in Untertürkheim.
The portfolio of released materials consists of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions’ own Ethylene Acrylic (AEM), Ethylene Propylene Diene Rubber (EPDM), Fluoroelastomer (FKM), Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR) and Silicone (VMQ) compounds, as well as, newly developed low temperature FKM materials. Specialized niche compounds such as abrasion resistant HNBR, low temperature NBR and high temperature AEM will be evaluated and released following joint-development programs.
In addition to the core portfolio of best-in-class elastomer and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) based seals; Trelleborg Sealing Solutions also offers a unique two-component offering. Products such as Rubore® Seals, high-revolution rotary seals and complex plastic-to-LSR solutions, are ideally suited for new concepts coming through from the OEMs.
