The latest brochure from Trelleborg Sealing Solutions presents sealing solutions for the automotive industry, highlighting the latest developments that can make vehicles more efficient and production more cost-effective.
Featuring the revolutionary Rubore® rubber-to-metal composite technology and the unique pressure activated Turcon® Roto L, in addition to standard products and solutions, the brochure aims to show how Trelleborg Sealing Solutions engineers and research teams have worked to develop new innovative products and market-leading advances.
Also included is information on new surface coatings, liquid silicone rubber 2-shot manufacturing capabilities and specialized materials, like the new XLT FKM, which improves applications in extremely low temperatures or with biofuels.

True to the aim of creating solutions in close cooperation with its customers, Trelleborg is taking its latest technical innovations and applications on the road. The Automotive Roadshow 2014 is a multimedia exhibition on the client’s own premises, allowing project managers, purchasers, and engineers to explore the world of Trelleborg hands-on.
Trelleborg AutoHub sales engineers and developers will accompany the Roadshow, spending one or two days on each site, and will be available for on-the-spot consultations and application-specific technical talks. In particular, the 100-m2 exhibit highlights the new Turcon® Roto L and Rubore® seals, as well as the XLT family of materials, with a demonstration of their resistance to extreme heat and cold, friction, and chemicals.
In addition, interactive media will present a range of innovative solutions covering such topics as friction reduction, ease of assembly, media resistance, and energy saving. The AutoHub experts will also be on hand to discuss specialized trainings and project consultations tailored to specific needs.

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, at its European aerospace manufacturing center of excellence in Tewkesbury, England, now holds Nadcap accreditation after it completed and passed audit requirements. This is in addition to the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions facility in Fort Wayne, Ohio, U.S. that already holds the accreditation.
The Nadcap program is coordinated by the U.S. Performance Review Institute and is supported by all major manufacturers of aircraft and components. The global program identifies ‘special processes’ related to the manufacturing of aerospace components and prepares audit criteria for good practice in the execution of these processes, including the manufacture of elastomeric seals.
Chris Busby, Product Manager, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, Tewkesbury, says: “We at Trelleborg are very proud to be the first volume manufacturer of aerospace seals in Europe to achieve Nadcap accreditation. It’s the achievement of our dedicated team at our aerospace manufacturing facility in Tewkesbury, England. This accreditation proves that we are best-in-class in the demanding area of aerospace seal production.”
The Nadcap accreditation will be a key talking point when Trelleborg Sealing Solutions exhibits at the Farnborough International Airshow, England, from 14 to 20 July. Those attending the airshow will find Trelleborg Sealing Solutions on stand G8, hall 4.
Trelleborg Sealing Solutions will further illustrate its TVO through its Advanced Delivery Program at MD&M East 2014 Conference (Booth 2266). This is geared to support life sciences and medical device manufacturers by enhancing inventory management to optimize customers’ supply chains.
Luis Tissone, Life Sciences Director for Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in the Americas, says: “Our strategic sourcing services are delivering a competitive edge for our life sciences and medical device customers, by leveraging our centralized purchasing resources to consolidate vendors and reduce purchase orders. We can manage inventory using forecasts, while also providing value-added handling and packaging services, including single/bulk bag and tag, kitting, assembly, special marking and surface treatment.”
Improved process efficiencies have evolved from the traditional transaction-based supply chain to the optimized supply chain. This type of model creates a win-win situation where inventory and operating costs can be significantly reduced, cycle times shortened and part availability improved.
